Abstract—The Long term Evolution (LTE) network currently becomes widely used. In dense area, regular LTE macrocell might not be able to properly support large amount of users. LTE Femtocell, a small coverage area with lower power transmission, has been deployed for capacity enhancement. However, by installing many femtocells, the number of handover increases and the network resources might not be handled properly. In this paper, a handover algorithm between the femtocells has been proposed. Our goal is to prepare the network resource at the target femtocell by spreading the load to neighbor nodes for accepting incoming users. The experimental results reveal that the inter-packet time and system throughput have been improved.
