Abstract—
This paper aims to provide a comprehensive review on the roles of telecommunication and computer networks in disaster management. In this regard, a variety of networks have been proposed, investigated and successfully implemented in various part of the world, especially in developed countries. The undergoing work not only enlist the telecommunication networks being used for disaster management, but their limitations, pros and cons have also been discussed. Moreover, all types of telecommunication networks are summarized in the end of paper.
