Electrical Engineering Department, khatam al-anbia (pbuh) University, Tehran, Iran
Abstract—
An Asymmetrically Clipped Optical Wavelet based Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (ACO WOFDM) system over multimode optical channel is investigated. Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) is used to generate WOFDM symbols. Haar and Symlets wavelets are utilized to implement the WOFDM. Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) is used as the modulation format. The simulation results show that the ACO WOFDM system attains a considerable BER performance improvement over the conventional Fourier based system.
